Court Strikes Down Trump Executive Order Against Law Firm

A federal judge has struck down an executive order by President Trump that targeted the law firm Perkins Coie. The judge ruled the order was unconstitutional, violating the firm's First Amendment rights, as well as the Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights. The order had sought to penalize the firm for representing clients or causes that President Trump disliked, including Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016. The judge's ruling permanently blocks the government from enforcing the order.
